Appeals & Critical Issues

Overview

At every stage of litigation, and even before, appellate attorneys provide key insight and counsel. With a deep understanding of the breadth and depth of legal issues and the trajectory of those issues, we can work with corporate and trial counsel on everything from contract terms and administrative matters to dispositive motions, trial monitoring — and, of course, appeals. We understand the strategies and how-tos for interlocutory appeals as well as post-trial appeals, and we work in all levels of state and federal courts. We are also strong advocates for key industries through amicus filings. Our success reflects the knowledge of and distinct strategies for each jurisdiction. We have certified appellate specialists in jurisdictions that provide certificates, and many of our team are members of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, the ABA Council of Appellate Lawyers, and former clerks from the US Supreme Court, federal and state courts of appeal, and district courts around the country.
