Mindy A. Westrick Brown

Mindy Westrick Brown collaborates with clients to manage and respond to opportunities and challenges at all levels of government, including legislative and administrative developments. Mindy’s experience includes advocating for clients at the Indiana General Assembly and before executive branch agencies and cities and towns.

In addition to advocating on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, trade associations and local government, Mindy advises local government boards and assists clients with compliance matters related to campaign finance, ethics, gaming, alcoholic beverages and lobbying regulations.

Mindy previously served as vice president for the Indiana Energy Association (IEA), which represents 14 investor-owned electric and natural gas utilities, as well as a public charitable trust. She advanced the IEA’s mission of advocating for policies to promote the welfare of the energy industry and its role in enhancing Indiana’s economy and quality of life. Mindy has served on the Metropolitan Development Commission and before that the Board of Zoning Appeals for almost 15 years — seeing firsthand the importance of land use in Indiana.

Past Experience

While earning her law degree, Mindy worked as a government services specialist and associate at our firm. In 2006, she participated in the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Services Series as the youngest local and national member admitted in the program's first 18 years.

Before joining the firm, Mindy worked as an executive assistant in the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, assisting a trade association and law firm during Indiana legislative sessions. Mindy also served as executive assistant to the chairman and executive director of the Indiana Republican Party and governor's intern for the Indiana Gaming Commission.
