Angela T. Fogt



Angela Fogt counsels nonprofit organizations on their inception and operation. She helps clients form tax-exempt organizations and advises on governance issues, charitable gifts and endowments, corporate philanthropy, and domestic and international grant-making.

Exempt Status and Activities

Angela advises grant-making organizations on maintaining tax-exempt status, compliance with the private foundation excise tax rules and avoiding self-dealing. She also counsels company foundations on their exempt activities, including scholarship programs, disaster relief and employee assistance.

Charitable Solicitation Rules

Angela helps charities comply with state-specific laws relating to charitable solicitation. She also counsels companies on the legal requirements associated with cause-related marketing campaigns and charitable co-ventures.
