Commercial Co-Ventures: Minimizing Risk and Maximizing Opportunity

Overview

Nonprofit organizations often collaborate with for-profit companies on sales promotions that feature a charitable component, including the designation of special days on which a percentage of sales goes to an identified charity, the use of community groups to sell products and services while retaining a portion of the sales prices, and other techniques. Many states regulate these practices, which are often referred to as “commercial co-venture” or “CCV” activity. This webinar will feature Angela Fogt, a member of Faegre Baker Daniels’ Nonprofit Organizations practice. Angela will offer an introduction to some of the most important legal issues associated with CCV activities, including recommendations for contracting, compliance, and public communications.

This webinar is complimentary courtesy of the Faegre Baker Daniels Nonprofit Organizations Practice. Please register in advance to attend.
