Jacob D. Bylund

Partner

Overview

Jacob Bylund is an experienced trial attorney and serves on Faegre Drinker’s board, a leadership collective dedicated to setting the firm’s policies and strategy. Jacob measures success by the relative advantage gained for clients, not by the number or length of motions filed or depositions taken. He works collaboratively with the client team to find and develop weaknesses in the opposition’s case, then executes in accountable increments. The demonstrated ability to effectively manage a matter through trial, if needed to meet client goals, is critical to the early resolution of matters. Jacob has led trial teams in achieving many plaintiffs-side jury verdicts, many defense-side jury verdicts, directed verdicts, victories on summary judgment and arbitration victories for major clients. Maintaining a national practice, Jacob has represented clients in courts in more than 25 states and the District of Columbia.
Jacob also represents and counsels some of the nation's largest food and agribusiness companies in navigating industry specific issues and is a leader of the firm's food and agribusiness industry team. Jacob and his team stay abreast of market and industry issues to understand and anticipate clients’ business needs. Jacob also devotes time to firm, client and industry initiatives focused on attracting and retaining diverse talent for the firm, clients’ case teams and the practice overall.
