Ethical Considerations in International Business Transactions

Overview

Drinker Biddle & Reath and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Chicago co-hosted a half-day CLE program on June 29, 2017, titled “Ethical Considerations in International Business Transactions.”

Speakers included partners Peter Blenkinsop, Dan Collins, Dan Delaney, David Kay, Jim Lundy and Kathleen Murphy, as well as associate Jeremiah Posedel. They were joined by guest speakers Christine M. Castellano of Ingredion Incorporated, Matthew B. Hsu of Aon, Douglas E. Perry of Honeywell International Inc., and Jacob Springer of Abbott Laboratories.

The program covered a broad range of ethical issues related to cross-border investigations and disputes involving conflicting discovery and privilege rules; data processing activities and information technologies that cross international boundaries; and managing compliance risks when countries adhere to disparate ethical guidelines and moral obligations.
