Overview

At Faegre Drinker, our team of experienced litigators handles the full array of ERISA and employee benefits litigation, ranging from individual claims to complex class actions. Our most experienced attorneys have been litigating ERISA issues for more than 30 years and were involved in many of the most significant ERISA fiduciary liability cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. Applying our nuanced knowledge of statutes, regulations, and case law, we vigorously and efficiently defend plans, plan sponsors, plan fiduciaries, and service providers in complex disputes involving health, welfare, and retirement plans. Our ERISA litigators take a collaborative approach to resolving conflicts, working closely with colleagues in our robust Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group, as well as other practice groups, including corporate, securities, insurance, and labor and employment. In an environment of ever-increasing risk and exposure for benefit plan−related litigation, our attorneys take a holistic approach, informed by their deep experience in the intricacies of ERISA, to help preserve their clients’ financial and reputational well-being.
