Brian Paul and Bianca Eddy Named Indiana Lawyer ‘Leadership in Law’ Honorees
Indiana Lawyer named Indianapolis partner Brian Paul and associate Bianca Eddy as “Leadership in Law” honorees.
Paul was selected in the “Distinguished Barrister” category, which recognizes Indiana attorneys who have been practicing for at least 20 years. Co-leader of the firm’s appellate group, Paul advocates for clients before state and federal courts across the country. In his profile, Paul noted offered advice he received as burgeoning lawyer to “read around” legal issues.
“In other words, don’t just read the law that is immediately on point but learn how that law fits into the larger category of law to which it belongs,” Paul noted. “Following that advice has made me a more well-rounded advocate.”
Eddy, who was named to the “Up and Coming” category, is an associate in the firm’s product liability and mass torts group. Getting her start as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney’s Office at the District of Massachusetts, Eddy noted that she was “hooked” upon seeing the legal world in action.
“You belong in every room you walk in to,” Eddy said when asked to provide the best advice she ever received. “Don’t shrink yourself to make others comfortable. Your voice matters, so use it.”
