Overview
Lucy Zhang advises clients on international trade matters, particularly involving international trade remedy proceedings, government inquiries and investigations on regulatory matters, and internal investigations prior to or in connection with potential or actual administrative proceedings or litigation. Lucy also advises clients on cross-border investments including direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital, and general corporate counseling.
Representative Experience
- Represents Chinese exporters in responding to questionnaires of the U.S. Department of Commerce for antidumping and countervailing duty investigations.
- Assists Chinese clients in responding to investigations and inquiries in enforcement cases brought by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security investigations, and the Department of Justice for customs and tariff violations.
- Represents Chinese clients in resolving litigated trade disputes over contracts and properties with various counterparties including U.S. clients and logistics vendors.
- Advises Chinese clients on compliance matters related to U.S. investment restriction rules for cross-border investment projects.
