Overview

Gabriel Richardson assists public and privately held companies in connection with corporate governance matters and guides clients through strategic transactions.

Prior Experience

Gabriel brings a wide range of legal and analytical experience to the firm, including internships with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and U.S. Bancorp. At the SEC, he supported investigations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act through legal research, drafting memoranda and financial analysis. His work at U.S. Bancorp included work on decision-making laws impacting banking policy and compliance.

Gabriel has additional transactional and compliance experience from roles at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) and Wells Fargo & Company. At EY, he assisted with international tax strategies and due diligence for cross-border M&A transactions. At Wells Fargo, he provided independent oversight to ensure regulatory compliance and helped manage operational risk for multiple business units.

Earlier, Gabriel gained valuable exposure to judicial proceedings as a judicial extern for Judge William J. Fisher of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He also developed strong research and client service skills as an academic consultant at Minerva Prep and as a research assistant at the University of Chicago Urban Labs. His internship with the Clinton Foundation gave Gabriel direct experience supporting the operations of a major nonprofit.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Gabriel spends his time road biking around the Chain of Lakes in South Minneapolis, visiting family in Mexico and Spain, and reading about behavioral economics. He finds that exploring new routes and cultures fuels his curiosity and helps him bring fresh perspectives to his work.
