Overview

Jaclyn Marasco is a Delaware-based litigator and problem-solver with a focus on disputes involving financial distress. Highly adaptable, she leverages her broad range of experience to craft and execute effective strategies for a variety of clients and co-counsel in high-stakes bankruptcy cases, complex commercial litigation, and other business disputes.

Bankruptcy & Related Litigation

Jackie is intimately familiar with complex Chapter 11 proceedings and their impact on various stakeholders, having served as a trial attorney for the US Department of Justice Office of the US Trustee in Delaware, and a law clerk to two US bankruptcy judges in New York and Delaware. She has served as counsel to debtors and debtors-in-possession, secured lenders and DIP lenders, official committees, and other unsecured creditors. Jackie also regularly represents clients in adversary proceedings and has significant experience with avoidance actions.

Corporate & Commercial Litigation

Jackie has litigated in every court in the State of Delaware, including the Delaware Supreme Court, Delaware Court of Chancery, Delaware Superior Court (including its Complex Commercial Litigation Division), US District Court, and US Bankruptcy Court (as well as appeals to the Third Circuit). She has effectively represented clients in commercial disputes involving claims for noncompliance with UCC Article 9, breach of contract, fraud, and other economic torts, and in special proceedings for corporate dissolution, interpleader, and judgment enforcement.

Pro Bono Experience

Jackie is an active member of Faegre Drinker’s Justice for Veterans Initiative, regularly serving as pro bono legal counsel to veterans and their spouses.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Jackie is an Audible afficionado, drawn to murder mysteries and thrillers. She also bakes a mean chocolate chip cookie.
