Managed Accounts in 401(k) Plans: Reducing the Risk of Fiduciary Breach Claims

Benefits and executive compensation counsel Joan Neri co-authored an article for the Journal of Pension Benefits examining complaints in several lawsuits alleging breach of fiduciary duty claims with respect to managed accounts offered in 401(k) plans. The authors also discuss several key features of managed account services that would reduce the likelihood of a lawsuit against plan fiduciaries.
