Brad Campbell Comments on DOL’s Proposed Rule on Exemptions With Bloomberg Law

In “Proposed Rule ‘Beginning of the End’ to Benefit Exemptions (2),” Bloomberg Law turned to benefits and executive compensation partner Brad Campbell for his commentary on the United States Department of Labor’s recent proposal to create an administrative record for each exemption application that reflects all communications leading up to and after an application for exemptive relief.

Campbell stated that the proposal effectively amounts to a “gag order” on plans or service providers who may simply be “kicking the tires” on an exemption and may want to keep information about their plans out of the public eye.
