The Latest on Labor & Employment and Employee Benefits

Florham Park partner Lynne Anderson and counsel Joan Neri presented at the New Jersey CFO Leadership Council on February 7. Their presentation was titled “The Latest on Labor & Employment and Employee Benefits.” Lynne and Joan discussed the 2016 presidential election and what to expect in FY2017 in the labor and employment and employee benefits space.

Lynne covered what to expect post-election regarding the latest DOL overtime regulations, the revised EEO-1 reporting obligations, fair pay laws, use of independent contractors and arbitration agreements and exposure for discrimination claims. Joan discussed what the anticipated challenges to the ACA mean for employers, recent 401(k) lawsuits and the financial implications and fiduciary considerations for employers.
