Anthem Acquires Puerto Rico-Based MMM Holdings and Affiliates

Health benefits company Anthem, Inc. acquired the Puerto Rico-based MMM Holdings LLC, its Medicare Advantage (MA) plan MMM Healthcare LLC, and its affiliated companies and Medicaid plan from InnovaCare Health, L.P. Faegre Drinker represented Anthem in the transaction. Serving over 275,000 MA members and more than 314,000 Medicaid members, MMM is the largest MA plan and the second-largest Medicaid plan in Puerto Rico, with a network that includes over a dozen offices and more than 10,000 health care providers across the island.
