Overview
Jaya Venkateswaran advises clients on the full spectrum of U.S. immigration matters and provides strategic, practical guidance to help clients navigate complex and evolving immigration laws. She prepares and files non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and labor certification applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), providing clients with efficient and strategic solutions for securing talent and achieving long-term immigration goals.
Jaya advises multinational employers on I-9 compliance and worksite enforcement, helping businesses reduce risk and maintain strong, compliant workforce practices. She also represents individuals in adjustment of status, immigrant visa, and naturalization matters — guiding clients through applications and interviews with skill, responsiveness, and care. Dedicated, detail-oriented, and client-focused, Jaya is committed to delivering high-quality immigration solutions tailored to each client’s goals.
Prior Experience
Before and during law school, Jaya worked as a legal assistant at an immigration law firm. Prior to the law, she had a teaching career in business communications and leadership consulting, and worked in banking and finance in India and in the United States.
Personal Interests
Outside the office, Jaya can be found reading, enjoying the outdoors with her family, or working in her vegetable garden.
