Overview
Mia’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters across a range of industries and subject areas. Her experience includes insurance coverage disputes, high-net-worth domestic litigation, fiduciary and probate-related disputes, business and financial disputes, and select employment and real estate matters. Mia has represented clients through all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, dispositive motion practice, evidentiary hearings, trial preparation, settlement negotiations, mediation, ADR, arbitration, probate proceedings, and appellate briefing.
Mia regularly works on matters involving complex financial issues, valuation disputes, contested damages claims, trust and estate-related conflicts, fiduciary obligations, and closely held business interests. She has experience coordinating with financial, vocational, valuation, and other subject matter experts and managing fact-intensive disputes involving substantial documentary and electronic discovery. Her work has included matters involving wealth transfer structures, family-owned enterprises, asset characterization and tracing issues, beneficiary and ownership disputes, and intergenerational wealth considerations. Mia has extensive experience in developing practical litigation strategies tailored to high-stakes and sensitive disputes.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Mia likes to spend her free time with her seven-year-old daughter Malia, traveling to new places, and trying new restaurants in the city.

- Mia has also devoted substantial time to pro bono representation in immigration matters, including asylum cases involving individuals fleeing persecution, violence, and political instability in their home countries. Her work has included preparing asylum applications, developing supporting factual records, coordinating evidentiary submissions, preparing clients for interviews and hearings, and advocating on behalf of vulnerable individuals navigating complex immigration proceedings.
