Overview

Leveraging nearly 20 years’ experience as a legal executive, assistant corporate secretary and outside counsel for public companies, including over a dozen years of boardroom experience at two NYSE-listed companies, Angie Snavely is adept at helping companies achieve strategic priorities and providing pragmatic advice to boards of directors, corporate secretaries and executive teams. She is an avid adviser and strategist on securities law and corporate governance. In addition, she is passionate about helping companies navigate business challenges, grow and transform.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Angie’s experience includes bolstering internal M&A programs and being a primary part of internal leadership teams that completed many successful M&A transactions. During her tenure in-house, she was an integral part of the leadership team that supported the growth of an NYSE-listed company through acquisitions. She has served as the primary in-house business partner for business development teams and has led large cross-functional internal and external teams through the deal life-cycle — target identification, due diligence, deal negotiation, deal updates to board of directors and executive teams, deal closing, public company disclosure and stock trading considerations, and post-deal integration. Angie also has experience with establishing minority investment programs and the administration of joint ventures.

Corporate Counseling

She has extensive experience advising companies on a variety of global corporate issues, including corporate finance and treasury activities, debt financing, ethics and compliance, and general corporate matters. In particular, Angie has led global compliance teams, ethics programs, and subsidiary governance and maintenance activities. She has also created, influenced and led ESG programs.

In-House & Finance Experience

Angie has over a dozen years of in-house experience at two NYSE-listed companies where her anticipatory and collaborative leadership yielded a track record of success for legal and cross-functional teams. During her tenure in-house, she had oversight for the legal, corporate secretary, compliance and ESG functions; developed and supported legal talent; and reorganized law teams to align with corporate strategic priorities. She served as senior vice president; corporate, ethics and compliance officer; and assistant corporate secretary for a mid-cap technology company. In addition, she served in a variety of capacities for a mid-cap manufacturing company, including as the assistant general counsel and assistant corporate secretary. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Angie served in a variety of finance and compliance roles at a large-cap insurance company and was an external auditor at a public accounting firm.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Angie enjoys spending time on Lake Minnetonka with family and friends, lifting weights at Life Time, hiking mountains, wake surfing, snow skiing, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.
