Commercial and Nonprofit Litigation

Manny represents a wide range of clients in breach of contract, product liability, tort and trade secrets, and statutory disputes, including class actions. His substantial experience in depositions, witness interviews, factual and legal analysis, and motions practice has resulted in key wins and resolutions for clients.

UPMIFA / Institutional Funds

Manny advises nonprofit organizations on compliance with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA) and, when necessary, guides clients through the process for modifying donor-restricted funds to more effectively achieve the intended charitable purposes.

Firm and Community Involvement 

Manny is heavily involved in the firm’s recruitment and pro bono efforts. He previously served as the Indianapolis office’s co-lead for Faegre Drinker’s Diversity Collective, and as a member of the Faegre Drinker Black Associates Group steering committee. Outside the firm, Manny is a scholarship committee member for the Emanuel McMiller Scholarship for Higher Education, a grant program in West Palm Beach, Florida, dedicated in his name to help unsupported or under-resourced students be more competitive in entering law school. Manny also serves as a board member for HOPE Community Development Corporation of Indiana, a nonprofit that serves the Far Eastside neighborhood of Indianapolis by providing wraparound services and quality housing in the community.

Prior Experience

Manny spent two summers at the firm as a summer associate. During law school, he served as president of the Notre Dame Space Law Society, gaining insights into the various legal issues and concerns affecting the space and satellite industry.

Prior to law school, he served as a legal assistant with a personal injury firm in West Palm Beach, Florida.
