Overview

Brian Kollatz advises clients on corporate and commercial matters, including contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, capital markets, and corporate governance. Analytical and detail-oriented, Brian provides clients with practical and business-oriented solutions and direction in domestic and cross-border transactions.

He works with private and public companies, private equity and venture capital investors, and financial institutions across a wide range of industries including life sciences, telecommunications, media, technology, gaming, food and agribusiness, and real estate.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Brian advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and joint ventures, with transaction values ranging from under $5 million to more than $10 billion.

Private Equity and Venture Capital

Brian represents companies and investors in equity and debt financings, as well as ongoing strategic and transactional matters.

Prior Experience

Before joining Faegre Drinker, Brian was a corporate and financial services associate at other international law firms in Los Angeles and Orange County. He also completed the two-year legal traineeship required to become an attorney in Germany, with rotations at the German Bundestag, the Regional Court of Berlin, and the District Attorney’s Office of Berlin.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Brian enjoys being active with his family, playing tennis and other sports.
