Overview
Jonathon Gunn is a corporate lawyer who helps international businesses operate, grow and achieve their business objectives through corporate mergers and acquisitions, investment, joint venture and commercial transactions. He has a particular proficiency in national security investment screening and data privacy issues in a corporate transactional context.
Jonathon has acted for UK and international clients in mergers and acquisitions on both the buy and sell sides across a wide range of sectors and industries. He has represented growing corporate strategics as they execute on their growth strategies, as well as individual founders of privately held companies on the sale of, or investment into, their businesses.
Representative experience includes:
- Advising leading global adhesives provider, H.B. Fuller, on several strategic acquisitions, including the acquisition of the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of liquid adhesives, coatings and primers for the roofing, industrial and construction markets.
- Advising a private equity fund on their disposal of a portfolio of industrial and retail assets in the north of England.
- Advising the shareholders of Access Partnership, an international public policy firm, on investment by private equity fund Mobeus Equity Partners.
- Advising ICM Registry LLC, a top-level domains business, on its sale to London Stock Exchange AIM-listed Minds + Machines Group Limited.
- Advising Freightex, a UK-based asset-light provider of truckload, less-than-truckload, specialized and refrigerated ‘over-the-road’ services business, on its sale to global logistics company UPS.
- Advising Aquapak Polymers, a British-based marine-safe and non-toxic hydrophilic polymer production company, on a strategic investment from London-based private equity fund ADM Capital Europe’s Cibus Enterprise Fund.
- Advising Access Partnership, an international public policy firm, on several strategic acquisitions, including of Singapore-based research and advisory firm TRPC.
- Advising a strategic investor on establishing a joint venture in relation to a greenfield mining and minerals project in Angola.
- Advising on the disposal of a distressed residential development asset as part of a corporate restructuring.
- Advising Rosen's Diversified, Inc., a multi-billion dollar leader in agribusiness solutions and food processing, on its acquisition by way of takeover offer of London Stock Exchange AIM-listed Collagen Solutions plc.
- Advising Aquapak Polymers in its commercial distribution deal with Resinex, a pan-European distribution company with a leading position in the plastics and rubbers distribution market.
