Overview

Jonathon Gunn is a corporate lawyer who helps international businesses operate, grow and achieve their business objectives through corporate M&A, investment and commercial transactions, with a particular proficiency in data privacy issues in a corporate transactional context.

Corporate Counsel

Jonathon advises U.K. domestic and international businesses on mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), corporate governance and taking on equity investment. He helps clients navigate M&A corporate and commercial due diligence, the negotiation and preparation of investment and M&A transaction documentation and the investment screening framework under the U.K.’s new National Security and Investment law.

Data Privacy and Security

Jonathon advises international businesses on U.K. and EU data privacy issues both on corporate and commercial transactions and in a regulatory context. He helps clients navigate data privacy due diligence on M&A deals, data sharing arrangements that underpin key business objectives, international data transfers, data breach response, global privacy programs and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

International Perspective

Jonathon is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and has achieved HSK Level 6.
