Overview
Franchise Litigation
Leah represents franchisors in high-stakes litigation, including obtaining and defeating preliminary injunctions in franchise disputes. She successfully defended a franchisor’s right to terminate a franchisee for violating contractual food safety provisions, protecting the brand and client interests. In another matter, she secured a preliminary injunction against a former franchisee who attempted to unlawfully exit the system and operate independently, ensuring compliance with noncompete obligations. Her role in these significant cases included hands-on involvement in fact development, discovery and drafting motions, demonstrating her skill in both legal research and advocacy.
Trade Secrets & Noncompetes
Leah has an evolving trade secret litigation practice, assisting clients in protecting proprietary technology, confidential business strategies and other valuable intellectual property. She has worked on matters involving high-level employee departures, claims under the DTSA, and requests for preliminary injunctions to prevent misappropriation or unfair competition. Her approach includes thorough factual investigation, strategic legal analysis and effective advocacy, enabling clients to safeguard their competitive advantages in fast-evolving industries.
Prior Experience
As a summer associate at Faegre Drinker, Leah supported the litigation team through extensive research and drafting motions.
