Overview
Sarah Armstrong helps clients manage trusts and estates issues. She represents high net worth individuals, trustees, beneficiaries and fiduciaries and philanthropists.
She assists clients by:
- Reviewing, analyzing, designing and implementing estate planning techniques for high net worth individuals, including developing tax-planning strategies and preparing wills, trust agreements and related documents to implement the estate design
- Representing individual and corporate trustees in the administration of trusts and estates
- Representing trustees in matters relating to fiduciary duties and powers, proper investments, and interpretation of trust agreements and wills
- Administering and distributing complex estates and trusts
- Preparing federal and state estate tax returns, federal and state individual and fiduciary income tax returns, and federal gift tax returns
- Representing beneficiaries and fiduciaries of estates and trusts with respect to protection of their beneficial interests and proper conduct of fiduciaries
- Representing individuals in connection with charitable giving, including formation of family foundations
- Representing individual clients in connection with asset protection planning, including formation of trusts, implementation and administration of gifting programs, and titling of assets
- Representing high net worth individuals in the negotiation, drafting and execution of antenuptial agreements
