Strategies for Purchasing IP Assets From Distressed Owners

Intellectual Property partners C.J. Harayda, Braden Katterheinrich, Nick Anderson and Victor Jonas coauthored an article for Law360 that explores how intellectual property law intersects with bankruptcy law.

The authors write that in the current economy, third parties have an opportunity to strategically acquire intellectual property assets from distressed companies in or preparing for bankruptcy and that coordinating with an involved investment banker or owner prebankruptcy may afford tactical advantages.
