Debunking Copyright Myths
Overview
Sandy Grannum, Chair of PLI Securities Arbitration 2019, structured panels with an aim to achieve diversity and even-handed dialogue. New Jersey/New York partner Sandra Grannum again chaired the Practising Law Institute’s popular annual event, this year titled: “Securities Arbitration 2019: Refining a Highly Developed FINRA-ODR Program.” This year's speakers − as has been the case in recent years − featured FINRA Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) personnel, and the session topics focused heavily on FINRA arbitration and mediation rules and procedures. The panels for each session, Sandy explained, were structured with an aim to achieve diversity and an even-handed dialogue.” Diversity and inclusion, relative to FINRA's roster, was the subject of the second session, followed by handling elder exploitation claims, a mediation practicum, "hot" ethical issues in securities arbitration and staying ahead of the curve.
