Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Recognizes Roger Maldonado as a 2022 ‘40 Under 40’ Honoree

Finance and restructuring associate Roger Maldonado was named a 2022 40 Under 40 honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ). The award recognizes notable business leaders and entrepreneurs in the Twin Cities.

MSPBJ selects 40 honorees under the age of 40 based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and community contributions. As a 2022 recipient, Maldonado exemplified outstanding professional successes while also contributing to the broader community.

Maldonado partners with clients to find effective, efficient solutions to complex finance and restructuring issues by providing strategic legal counsel on a full range of financial matters. He represents corporate trustees, creditors, equipment lease lenders, investment firms and large financial institutions in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court. Maldonado is an experienced navigator of complex issues in bankruptcy law, equipment leasing issues, receiverships, and related commercial and financial litigation. His bankruptcy practice also includes defending preference and fraudulent conveyance actions in bankruptcy cases and on bankruptcy-related issues.

In a feature profile, Maldonado shared that he measures success “by the quality and effort” of his contributions to the team. He said, “My 20-year service in the military — retired as a captain in 2020 — taught me the importance and value of placing the needs of the team (and others) to meet collective goals. I’ve applied this concept on boards and in my legal practice with colleagues and clients and believe it has fueled my passion for what I do.” Regarding networking, Maldonado added that he enjoys taking clients, colleagues and friends to local sporting events.
