China Business Law Journal

Faegre Drinker has won four practice honors as part of the China Business Law Journal’s 2021 Business Law Excellence Awards in the following categories:

  • Anti-bribery & anti-corruption;
  • Employment & labor;
  • Industrials & manufacturing; and
  • Pro bono.

The publication also highlighted Faegre Drinker for advising more than 100 manufacturing companies in China on legal and regulatory issues encountered in their operations across industries that include agriculture, chemicals, energy, technology and automotive. The firm was recognized for its work in 2020 advising a well-known US automotive company and a leading US chemical company with their business operations in China.

According to the China Business Law Journal, the awards are based on thousands of votes and recommendations received from in-house counsel, other senior corporate executives and legal professionals from around the world, as well as hundreds of submissions from Chinese and international law firms. To determine the winning firms, the publication carefully evaluates each firm’s landmark deals, cases and other notable achievements in the past year, in conjunction with the recommendations.

Faegre Drinker’s attorneys in China are experienced professionals who understand how to bridge the culture gap between Chinese and foreign investors and provide practical solutions to help clients achieve their objectives. They have working knowledge of governmental compliance issues and restrictions and understand the way Chinese and foreign companies conduct business in the unique legal and government landscape in China.
