Overview

We help real estate investors and lenders structure and apply debt and equity in transactions that seek to meet deadlines, minimize risk and fulfill expectations. We combine and leverage various public and private financing sources to optimize financing transactions, including tax increment, tax credit, tax abatement, and federal, state and local financing tools. We represent lenders and borrowers in permanent loans, bridge loans and construction loans, participating and shared appreciation mortgages, and mezzanine financing. Our financing transactions include office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, industrial, institutional, tenant-in-common and multifamily projects. We also have experience in loans involving specialty properties, including corporate headquarters, race tracks, casinos, hospitals, nursing homes, power plants, logistics facilities, alternative energy facilities, wind power facilities, hydroelectric dams, churches and schools. A key focus of our lending work is our national practice representing life insurance companies and banks in complex, multistate mortgage loan transactions. We help promote smooth transactions, and for this reason, many high-profile lenders choose to work with us again and again.

We also advise on matters affecting investors, including joint ventures, economic incentives, tax credits, 1031 exchanges, environmental and regulatory matters, and REIT issues.
