Broker-Dealer Defends Alleged Unsuitable REIT Claims

A broker-dealer faced customer claims alleging that their investment in a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) was unsuitable. The matter was tried before a 3-member arbitration panel in February 2016, which resulted in a partial award in favor of the client. Our firm represented the broker-dealer in defending these claims.
