Overview

Moe Roberson counsels public and privately held companies on a broad range of corporate tax matters, with a particular focus on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, investment management structures, and nonprofit organizations. He helps clients with structuring deals in a tax-efficient manner, assessing risks, and navigating evolving regulatory frameworks. Moe’s practice combines technical analysis with practical business insight, enabling him to deliver solutions that align with clients’ strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state tax laws.

Prior Experience

Moe was a summer associate at Faegre Drinker for two consecutive years. Hailing from Southeast, Washington, D.C., he served in the US military and deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where he honed his followership and leadership skills. Moe earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center while successfully owning and operating a business.

Community Service

Since 2022, Moe has served on the Washington Bar Association Board of Directors, and he remains deeply committed to community service, embodying the belief that legal excellence and public service must advance hand in hand.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Moe enjoys small- and large-scale gardening such as tending to his orchard of over 200 fig trees and planting a variety of herbs, vegetables, and fruits that he and his son can grab almost immediately upon exiting their front door.
