Overview

Max Moran counsels clients as they navigate complex litigation and other legal obstacles that could impede their business goals. Max's experience spans numerous practice areas, including bad-faith litigation and insurance defense, finance and restructuring, and complex commercial litigation. He also has experience defending and prosecuting claims of fraud and negligence across multiple industries. Max has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts both in and outside of Texas.

Finance, Bankruptcy & Commercial Litigation

In addition to managing discovery and strategy, Max has successfully represented clients in all phases of civil litigation from responding to the initial filing of the lawsuit to obtaining a favorable jury verdict.

Appearing for clients in state, federal district, and bankruptcy courts, Max has drafted and argued hundreds of motions, both dispositive and nondispositive, taken and defended numerous depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and tried civil cases to final verdict.

Prior Experience

Max grew up in Mississippi, graduating from Mississippi State University in 2016 with a B.A. in economics and a minor in pre-law studies. He then attended Baylor University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2020, and has remained in Texas ever since. While in law school, Max completed internships in the Offices of General Counsel for Trinity Industries in Dallas, Texas, and Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He subsequently clerked for Judge Martin Hoffman of the 68th Judicial District Court, Dallas County, Texas.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Max enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and fly fishing across the United States.
