Zachary G. Maciejewski

Associate

Overview

Zac Maciejewski works with clients as they navigate the complexities of FDA regulatory concerns. He provides support and guidance in the development and commercialization of drugs, biologics, and medical devices.

Zac develops strategic solutions as our clients manage clinical research policies and agreements. When companies draft promotional and advertising materials for drugs and devices, he identifies and mitigates compliance risks regarding claims made to providers or consumers. He supports clients seeking to enhance their health care policies and training, in addition to navigating transactions including acquisitions and investments.

He also facilitates the improvement of clients’ privacy and cybersecurity practices, both in compliance and incident response. Zac counsels clients responding to data incidents, assists in the development of robust and compliant cybersecurity programs, and assesses vulnerabilities in the transactional space.

Prior Experience

As a 2019 summer associate with our firm, Zac worked closely with pharmaceutical investor-initiated agreements and asset purchase agreements related to medical device company acquisitions. He also served as a legal extern for Eskenazi Health, analyzing the hospital’s cyber liability insurance policy and authoring documentation regarding the hospital’s compliance with HIPAA and OCR encryption regulations. During a general counsel internship with the Indiana State Board of Education, Zac co-authored Indiana Administrative Code regulations concerning at-risk students and dropout recovery services.

Personal Interests

Zac enjoys traveling, hot yoga, and watching college sports — particularly, the Indiana Hoosiers.
