Overview
Prior Experience
Lawrence has a diverse background in legal research, writing and litigation support across both private and public sectors. As a law clerk with the National Football League, he assisted attorneys in administering the Collective Bargaining Agreement and reviewed contracts for coaches and front-office personnel. He also worked as a law clerk with a personal injury firm in New York, gaining hands-on litigation experience by drafting motions, status reports and discovery responses, while conducting in-depth legal research to support attorneys through all phases of case preparation. Lawrence interned for Judge James d’Auguste in the New York State Supreme Court, where he helped draft judicial opinions and observed court proceedings.
During law school, Lawrence worked as a research assistant to Professor Mark Conrad where he focused on state regulations related to sports betting. Earlier roles included volunteering for a congressional campaign and interning in Kings County Criminal Court, where he observed arraignments and researched New York Penal Law.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Lawrence enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and watching his favorite sports teams play.
