Gabriella I. Gutierrez
Associate
Overview
Gabriella Gutierrez advises insurance companies and other insurance industry stakeholders to advance their business objectives.
Prior Experience
Before joining the firm, Gabriella gained extensive legal experience across federal and private practice settings. As a judicial intern for Judge Kelley B. Hodge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Gabriella drafted opinions on motions and observed oral arguments and hearings. During her externship with the Federal Community Defender’s Office, she contributed to appellate briefs on constitutional and criminal law issues and observed Third Circuit proceedings. Gabriella served as a summer associate with the firm in both 2023 and 2024; she worked on litigation, corporate and insurance matters, preparing memoranda on complex procedural and evidentiary issues, assisting with appellate arguments, and conducting multijurisdictional legal research.
Before attending law school, Gabriella served as an assistant teacher with Mercy Neighborhood Ministries through the Mercy Volunteer Corps and as a service scholar with the Faith-Justice Institute at Saint Joseph’s University, experiences that deepened her commitment to community engagement and social justice. She also interned with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia’s Child Protection Unit and worked as a journalist in Johannesburg, South Africa, reporting on issues of poverty, racism and gender.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Gabriella enjoys connecting with nature by hiking new trails and camping. She also enjoys traveling — her favorite adventure so far has been exploring cities throughout Spain while studying abroad at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid. When in search of a calmer activity, Gabriella loves to read memoirs and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
