Overview

James Ford provides comprehensive counsel to public and private companies, managing complex corporate matters such as M&A and governance alongside the strategic development and protection of intellectual property assets.

Prior Experience

James began his legal career in criminal defence handling client interaction, legal drafting and case management within the Crown Court department. Before joining Faegre Drinker, he worked as a paralegal on various corporate projects, including commercial transactions, shareholder matters and corporate structuring. He has also supported clients on both contentious and noncontentious employment matters.

James completed a summer placement with the firm in 2023.

Personal Interests

In his spare time, James enjoys watching and playing sport. He played rugby at county level while at school, winning the u18 National Cup final with Maidenhead Rugby Club in 2018, and played football for Bristol History Society while at university.

James also enjoys travel and listening to history podcasts.
