Overview

Delmar Ehrich is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who leads clients through complex chemical, toxic tort, product liability and commercial litigation in federal and state courts in every region of the country. With more than 30 years of experience, Del understands that litigation requires keen and unwavering attention to costs, risks and benefits. He develops and implements strategies to align with the risk of a particular litigation, including trying the case.

Environmental Litigation

With more than 30 years of experience, Del has represented businesses in litigation and administrative proceedings involving state environmental statutes and regulations and all of the major federal environmental statutes:
  • Superfund
  • RCRA
  • The Clean Air Act
  • The Clean Water Act 
  • TSCA

During EPA or state administrative proceedings, Del negotiates for reductions in civil penalties and compliance activities. He also helps clients obtain insurance coverage for environmental liabilities. Del leads FaegreBD’s environmental practice area.

Del is a trusted advisor to manufacturing, industrial and energy clients to manage litigation and reputational risks, in both pre-incident and emergency response situations.

Product Liability and Mass Tort Litigation

Del defends medical device manufacturers in numerous actions in federal and state courts for personal injury, wrongful death and medical monitoring. He is experienced in advocating scientific concepts in toxicology, epidemiology, exposure modeling and risk assessment to judges, lay jurors and arbitrators.
