Prior Experience

Joseph served as a law clerk for the Hon. Carl A. Walker of the Illinois First District Appellate Court, where he gained litigation knowledge and legal research and writing experience. During law school, Joseph was an advisor to students in Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis’s Diversity Enrichment and Achievement Program and created academic, cultural, social and developmental programming. He also served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Tanya Walton Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, where he conducted legal research, drafted court orders, and reviewed complaints, petitions, motions and pleadings to determine issues involved or basis for relief.

Personal Interests

Joseph enjoys volunteering and is committed to youth development and mentorship initiatives. He considers himself a food aficionado and enjoys visiting trendy restaurants and trying exotic cuisines. Joseph is also a fitness enthusiast and regularly takes on new fitness challenges.
