Dan Prokott Addresses Proposed DOL Overtime Rulemaking With Business Insurance

Business Insurance spoke to labor and employment partner Dan Prokott about the Department of Labor’s (DOL) proposal to increase the threshold below which employers must pay their salaried workers overtime.

The publication reported that the proposal does not address the complex duties requirement under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Prokott said its absence may reflect “a desire to have a change that is more straightforward and simpler than adjusting duties.”
