COVID-19 Employment Litigation: Taking Stock Two Years In

Labor and employment partner Greg Abrams and associates Caroline Guensberg and Sara Ehsani-Nia coauthored an article for Reuters discussing employment-related litigation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including issues related to health screening, vaccination and quarantine requirements, work-from-home reimbursements, deprived COVID-related accommodations and workplace safety.

According to the article, court decisions have started to provide employers with some guidance despite the courts continuing to wrestle with these issues. The authors outline guidance related to off-the-clock time, disability and leave claims and wrongful death and injury claims. They also emphasize that employers should monitor these developments and consider modifying their practices based on emerging trends.
