Rollover Recommendations: Suggesting an IRA May Still be Prohibited

Los Angeles partner Fred Reish and Florham Park counsel Joan Neri co-authored an article for PlanAdviser magazine titled "Rollover Recommendations: Suggesting an IRA may still be prohibited," describing the circumstances under which a rollover recommendation can still be a fiduciary act resulting in a prohibited transaction even though the DOL’s new fiduciary rule was vacated. The article discusses several ways to handle rollover recommendations in order to avoid this result.
