Is 70 the New 65?

Los Angeles partner Fred Reish published his latest “Just out of Reish” column in the June 2013 issue of PLANSPONSOR.

In a world where retirement income is based on personal savings — such as is the case with 401(k) and 403(b) deferrals —  Fred believes it is difficult to accumulate enough money by age 65 to be able to retire comfortably. Fred defines “comfortable” retirement as being such that the retiree can maintain his preretirement standard of living.
