Intellectual Property and Social Media: Basics and Current Trends

Overview

Philadelphia partner Robert Cannuscio was a panelist at the Armenian Bar Association CLE Conference on Thursday, Dec. 8, in Los Angeles. 

 

The panel was titled “Intellectual Property and Social Media: Basics and Current Trends” and covered intellectual property law basics and the implications of intellectual property law in social media.  The presentation was given to members and guests of the Armenian Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association and the Mexican American Bar Association.  

 

Robert, a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, presented on patent and copyright law, starting with an overview of each of the laws and going on to discuss how those areas of law have evolved in the realm of social media.  Robert also discussed the current issues facing businesses related to uses of social media, including the risks and rewards for developing a social media presence.
