Planning for Wage and Hour Changes for 2020 in Minnesota

Overview

Federal and state legislatures have been busy this year, passing new laws and regulations in the wage and hour space that will impact employers in 2020 and beyond.  Join us for an interactive discussion on these new laws, including:

  • The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) final regulations on salary thresholds for exempt employees.
  • DOL proposals on bonuses and tip credits.
  • Wage theft laws in Minnesota, the city of Minneapolis and more.
  • Independent contractor limitations under California law.

We will discuss these topics and more, along with practical tips on how employers can prepare as changes go into effect in 2020.

An application for standard Minnesota CLE credit will be submitted. The program will also be submitted to the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for continuing education credit.
