Ethics for Transactional Attorneys

Overview

Florham Park partner Tracey Salmon-Smith will discuss internal investigations during the “Ethics for Transactional Attorneys” program for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

A panel of experienced New Jersey practitioners will explore some of the most common ethics issues encountered during transactional work, as well as best practices for avoiding possible transgressions. Tracey will lead the discussion on employment and benefits work, in particular the challenges of workplace investigations and how attorneys can navigate the ethical challenges in conducting such investigations. She will also touch on the inadvertent waiver of privilege and best practices for moving forward from such an occurrence.
