InsurTech and the ILS Market
Overview
Partners Michael Halsband and Elizabeth Diffley attended the SIFMA Insurance-& Risk-Linked Securities Conference in Miami Beach, Fla., on March 6, 2018. The conference focused on the factors reshaping the insurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) markets, as well as the broader application of ILS into new markets.
Michael participated in the session “InsurTech and the ILS Market,” discussing innovative products, distribution and models used by InsurTech start-ups, as well as how the ILS market can support InsurTech. The panel also featured Adrian Jones of SCOR Global P&C, Rick McCathron of Hippo Insurance and Vikas Singhal of Hudson Structured Capital Management.
