Cheryl Orr Named in Daily Journal’s Top Labor & Employment Lawyers 2019

Managing partner Cheryl Orr has been selected by the Daily Journal as one of the Top Labor & Employment Lawyers for 2019. The annual list recognizes California’s top attorneys who have made significant contributions in labor and employment law.

The publication’s special edition features an article referencing Cheryl’s high-profile wage and hour work, as well as her successful negotiation skills on behalf of clients. “I very much enjoy negotiating and think that’s one of, if not my strongest, skill,” she said. “I drive very good results for our clients.” The profile notes that Cheryl provides executives with training on the evolution of the law and public opinion, especially in the realm of sexual harassment. “Large national employers are very much taking it seriously,” she said. “There’s very much an increase in transparency. Boards are holding companies to a higher standard.” The piece also references that Cheryl works with clients on audits of policies and practices, including examining executive contracts, redefining the definition of cause and identifying potential risks.
