Cheryl Orr Named One of California’s Top Women Lawyers

Managing partner Cheryl Orr has been selected by the Daily Journal as one of the Top Women Lawyers in California for 2019. The annual list recognizes women lawyers who demonstrate excellent lawyering and leadership skills in the state. This is the fourth consecutive year that Cheryl has been included on this prestigious list.

The publication’s special edition features an article highlighting Cheryl’s high-profile wage and hour class action cases, including those for the nation’s leading single-source supplier of gases, welding equipment and supplies and safety products. The article also references that a significant portion of Cheryl’s time this year was spent working with clients on audits of workplace practices, which include examining executive contracts, redefining the definition of cause and identifying potential risks for clients.

Cheryl and other honorees will be celebrated at a reception following the Daily Journal’s Women Leadership in Law Forum, where Cheryl serves as co-chair and will moderate a panel. The annual event brings law firm professionals and women leaders together for panel discussions, interactive forums and networking. This year, partner Jessica Abrahams and Well-Being Specialist Courtney Wylie are among the speakers at the day-long event.
