Mark J. Foley Joins Drinker Biddle’s Labor and Employment Group

PHILADELPHIA—Drinker Biddle has added Mark J. Foley to its Labor and Employment practice group. He joins the firm as a partner residing in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

“Mark has a reputation as a stand out talent among lawyers in Philadelphia and has worked closely with partners at our firm in the past. Most recently, Mr. Foley was co-chair of the Labor and Employment group at Cozen O’Connor. He has experience in a broad range of matters under local, state and federal law, including the NLRA, LMRA, Title VII, Section 1983 and the First Amendment, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, whistleblower laws, restrictive covenants and trade secrets and executive transition issues.

Mr. Foley has represented management in the public and private sectors, including higher education, public utilities, technology and pharmaceutical clients, in collective bargaining negotiations and other matters. He has been named by Human Resource Executive as one of the “Top 100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” for the past five years and is consistently ranked by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America. Early in his legal career, Mr. Foley was part of the City of Philadelphia Law Department in former Mayor Edward Rendell’s administration from 1992 to 1995.

Mr. Foley graduated cum laude from Villanova University School of Law and was associate editor of the Villanova Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He has a bachelor of arts from Pennsylvania State University.
