FaegreBD Expands Presence on List of World's Leading Patent Practitioners

Ten partners at Faegre Baker Daniels were ranked among the world's foremost intellectual property attorneys in the third annual edition of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine's IAM Patent 1000: The World's Leading Patent Practitioners. FaegreBD was ranked as a top IP firm for litigation and transactions in Colorado and Minnesota and for patent prosecution in Colorado.

The 2014 IAM Patent 1000 identifies the best patent prosecution, licensing and litigation practitioners in the world's key jurisdictions. Firms and attorneys are ranked based on a five-month interview process with hundreds of private practice lawyers and clients across the world to determine which practitioners are relied on when clients need the best counsel. Ranked attorneys received substantial positive feedback from multiple sources.

FaegreBD attorneys ranked in the IAM Patent 1000 are:

California

  • David J.F. Gross

Colorado

  • Scott M. Alter
  • Benjamin Fernandez
  • Natalie Hanlon-Leh
  • Mindy V. Sooter
  • Nina Wang

Minnesota

  • Charles Knapp
  • Jason Kraus
  • Kenneth A. Liebman
  • James W. Poradek

In Colorado, FaegreBD is described as "an adept all-rounder" and "well respected in the local community and increasingly admired further afield." Peers called national intellectual property group leader Natalie Hanlon-Leh a "formidable opponent" and a leader in the Colorado IP community. Clients dubbed FaegreBD's Minnesota team "unbelievably proactive and fabulously prepared," and "easily the best firm we have ever worked with." Another source described the team as equal in talent to New York and San Francisco firms but without the coastal rates.

Gross, Hanlon-Leh, Liebman and Wang were previously recognized in the 2012 and 2013 editions of the IAM Patent 1000.
