Fred Reish, Bruce Ashton and Joshua Waldbeser Named in PLANSPONSOR’s Year in Review 2013

Los Angeles partners Fred Reish and Bruce Ashton and Chicago associate Joshua Waldbeser penned an open letter to the 401(k) community in response to letters sent in June by Yale Law School Professor Ian Ayres to 6,000 plan sponsors claiming that their plans were too expensive.

The letters said the professor had been working on a research study aiming to measure “the relative costs to 401(k) participants of menu limitations, excess fees and investor allocation mistakes.” As a result of their findings, Fred, Bruce and Josh fired off a response on July 29 that debunked the study.
